Social research
Myths and preconceived ideas often take precedence over facts. Nowhere more so than
in relation to ethnicity.
ETHNOS specialises in social research in relation to ethnic minority communities. We seek to understand people’s beliefs, attitudes and behaviours as members of ethnic groups.
Organisations come to us to provide answers to such questions as: Why are Black boys almost three times more likely to be run over than White children? How do people come to condone or advocate the use of violence in support of ideologies? What makes ethnic minority people perceive services to be racist and how valid are these perceptions? What does “Britishness” mean to people from minority ethnic backgrounds?
ETHNOS provides robust evidence to help communities, policy-makers and service providers understand and respond to some of the key social, economic and political issues of our time.
